PGI Grievance Procedure

1. If the grievance concerns an instructor, the content presented by the instructor, or the style of presentation, the individual filing the grievance will be asked to put his/her comments in written format and send them to the CE Program Administrator. The CE Program Administrator will then pass on the comments to the faculty member, assuring the confidentiality of the grieved individual. If the complaint refers to the CE Program Administrator, the individual filing the grievance will be asked to send it to the Faculty Chairperson.

2. If the grievance concerns a program, its content, level of presentation, or the facilities in which the program was offered, the CE Program Administrator will:

a. Attempt to move the participant to another workshop or

b. Provide a credit for a subsequent year’s workshop or

c. Provide a partial or full refund of the workshop fee.

Actions 2b and 2c will require a written note, documenting the grievance, for record keeping purposes. The grieved individual need not sign the note.

3. If the grievance concerns the PGI CE program, in a specific regard, the CE Program Administrator will attempt to arbitrate.

4. Please contact Lynne Jacobs, lynnejacobs@gestalttherapy.org, 310-729-5202, to submit a complaint or if you have additional questions.
